Made with 1 ¼ inch thick Walnut, Hard Maple, Purple Heart, and Cherry hardwoods. The board is finished with a food safe mineral oil & beeswax. The woods used in this cutting board are Rift cut, meaning the grain is vertical instead of horizontal, which is best to provide stability over the lifetime of the board. It also features rubber feet to insure drying on both sides, reducing noise while cutting, and making it easier to grasp while lifting it off the counter for cleaning. Periodic polishing with mineral oil or cutting board oil is recommended, or a beeswax mineral oil combination which I also sell on this site.
